What an incredible weekend filled with laughter, fellowship, learning, and love! Our Summer Fun Weekend brought together our children, parents, and Omo Awo in a way that truly reflected the spirit of family that exists within our temple community.
From movie night under the stars to games, water activities, food, and fellowship, every moment reminded us that a temple is more than a place of worship, it is a living community where relationships are built, values are taught, and memories are created.
Children are the future of every spiritual tradition. In Isese, we understand that today’s children are tomorrow’s priests, priestesses, leaders, and custodians of our culture. By creating positive experiences within the temple, we help them build a strong connection to their heritage, their elders, and the sacred values that will guide them throughout life.
These gatherings are also important because they strengthen the bond between families and the ile. A healthy temple is not measured only by ceremonies and rituals, but by the love, unity, and support shared among its members.
As children, many also carry a special connection to Egbe, the spiritual companions and associations that accompany us through life. Events filled with joy, friendship, creativity, and community help nurture the positive qualities of Egbe while teaching our children the importance of cooperation, responsibility, and belonging.
To all the parents, volunteers, and Omo Awo who made this weekend possible, thank you. Your dedication continues to help us build not only a stronger temple, but a stronger generation.
