About Me
My name is Iyanifa Farike Aweni Egberonke, and I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of knowledge, service, leadership, and spiritual development. My journey has taken me across the world and through many different experiences, all of which have contributed to the person and spiritual leader I am today.
Before devoting myself fully to the practice and teaching of Ifá and Òrìṣà traditions, I served for 10 years in the United States military, where I worked as a Cryptologic Analyst supporting the National Security Agency (NSA). This career required discipline, integrity, analytical thinking, and leadership, qualities that continue to guide my work as an Iyanifa today.
A Journey Across the World
My travels have allowed me to experience cultures and traditions throughout the world. I have had the privilege of visiting every continent multiple times, with the exception of Antarctica, gaining a deeper appreciation for humanity’s diverse spiritual and cultural expressions.
For more than 13 years, I have been a dedicated practitioner and student of Ifá. My spiritual journey began within the Lukumí tradition, where I spent three years learning and developing my understanding of Òrìṣà worship. As my calling deepened, I transitioned to Isese Lagba, seeking a stronger connection to the traditional Yoruba spiritual practices and teachings preserved in West Africa. Throughout my journey, I have received initiation and training within several sacred institutions, including Ifá, Ẹgbẹ́, and Ogboni. These experiences have provided me with profound insight into the importance of character, destiny, community, spiritual discipline, and ancestral wisdom. Today, I serve as the spiritual leader of Orilonise Ika Oba Temple, where my mission is to educate, guide, and support individuals seeking a deeper understanding of Ifá and Yoruba spirituality. Through divination, classes, ceremonies, mentorship, and community service, I strive to make traditional knowledge accessible while maintaining the integrity and authenticity of our ancestral teachings. I believe that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. My commitment is not only to helping others navigate their paths but also to continuing my own studies and development as a servant of Ifá, the Òrìṣà, my ancestors, and the community I am blessed to serve. Aṣẹ.
